PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP WITH GRAHAM FITCH – JUST RELEASED

The focus for Graham’s course is on developing performance skills, including memorisation, practising towards a performance, aspects of style (Baroque and Classical styles especially), technique and overcoming nerves and anxiety.

This course is designed for people who have reached a grade 8 standard. It would also suit piano teachers and anyone studying towards their diploma.

Graham will also be running a masterclass with the opportunity to explore the full range of repertoire brought by other attendees. Performance skills and interpretation will be the main focus of these sessions. Everyone will be asked in advance to provide a list of their chosen repertoire to encourage collaboration between course participants.

In addition to masterclasses, Graham will be offering individual coaching to each attendee. During these sessions, participants may wish to tackle areas of technical weakness, explore further repertoire they are working on or focus on material covered in the workshops.

Each day typically starts with a workshop in the Finchcocks recital room. In the afternoons, there is time for private practice on one of our beautiful acoustic grand pianos including our new Steinway.

At 7pm we have our pre-dinner talk or recital in the main house, which is a chance to relax and be inspired, before returning to the Coach House for dinner.
