Applied theory: Learn the building blocks of music in a practical way!

Circle of fifths at Finchcocks
  • Do you feel that your knowledge of music theory is holding your playing back?
  • Do you wish that understood the why and how of music more?
  • Do you understand some theory but struggle to join up the dots to apply it practically?

Then Musical Director David Hall‘s Applied Theory course is for you! Here’s a taster of what’s in store for you…

Aimed at intermediate players (of any instrument!) upwards, David will cover topics included in up to, and including, the ABRSM grade 5 music theory syllabus. He will bring theory to life in a practical context, providing a fun, rich and vibrant way to understand the framework for Western music.
