Course host Ophelia Gordon (www.opheliagordon.com) joined the team in 2022 and we’re so glad to have her on board!

Ophelia is an extremly accomplished pianist and piano teacher. With a degree in music, ATCL and LTCL diplomas in piano and ten years’ performance and teaching experience under her belt Ophelia, has a thriving career as a performer and teacher.

Ophelia prides herself on sharing a passion for musical performance with her many students. She teaches music privately and at schools across Surrey and is an accompanist for the Trinity and ABRSM music boards, collaborating with local teachers and music department heads. As a performer she has won 1st class prizes in several competitions, most recently the ArsNova International Music Competiton (Singapore).

Here at Finchcocks, Ophelia hosts on a number of our courses, checking things run smoothly, people are comfortable and happy, offering practice supervision where required – and occasionally playing for guests on a Saturday evening!

When she’s not playing piano or teaching, Ophelia is a keen yoga practioner who loves spending time with her cats and husband Sam.
