Jazz for classical pianists with David Hall – mixed ability – sold out

This course is designed for classically trained pianists (intermediate – advanced) who would love to delve into or brush up on their jazz skills! David Hall (FRCO, MA Cantab) will help you combine solid piano technique, aural skills and jazz music theory to help you explore a sound world perhaps different to the one you began playing the piano on.
David Hall was recently described by the Sunday Times when they joined us on a Finchcocks piano course, as a “musical powerhouse”. This is him in action at one of our Saturday evening recitals in the main Hall of Finchcocks.
And on our open-air stage with host Jennifer Maslin!
During the course, guests are welcome to try out each of our nine grand pianos in the vaulted cellars – to help put into practice what has been discussed in the group sessions.
