This spring retreat is designed for anyone who just wants a UK-based weekend away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, emails and the boredom of 2020s lockdowns.
Give yourself the gift of some time away to practise and reconnect with your piano playing on this luxury piano retreat: If you made a New Year’s resolution to get better at the piano, why not take stock of that promise to yourself 4 months into 2021 – at Finchcocks, with topnotch food, wine, 7 other piano enthusiasts and 9 grand pianos, in the beautiful setting of the Kent countryside?
There are no formal group sessions, no performances and no stress. The course is open to pianists of all levels.
This course is being run by Warren Mailley-Smith.
Warren Mailley-Smith will be on hand for two optional half hour one-to-one lessons over the course of the weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday will also begin with an optional group session on warm ups, practice tips and a Q&A. You may however plan to structure your weekend differently (with a long lie-in!).
Warren will also treat guests to a special performance of his latest repertoire on the Saturday evening in the main hall. This is often a highlight of the weekend, when guests can sit back, relax and be inspired, wine in hand and listen to the maestro play on the family Bosendorfer.
A light lunch and three course dinner are served in the manor house dining room by our on-site chef.
But most importantly on a retreat, breakfast is delivered to your room!
